Paul & Silas in prison

Following is a letter Donna Russell received in response to the mailing of “blessing packets” (name given by an inmate) and cards to the corrections institutions. She asked that we share the letter with the congregation.

Mrs. Donna Russell

This is Angela York from Marysville prison. I just received the Christmas card from you & the church, & wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was touched deeply. I received the card & paper, and envelopes (thank you for all of it) on Christmas Eve. Made my day and also my Christmas. First mail I’ve received here. I decided to use the envelope 2 write you back and thank you for taking the time to send me the card and everything else. I have been reading my Bible, and attending church every time its offered to me. You put a BIG SMILE on my face today. Again, thank you so much. God bless you and your family. Will keep you in my prayers. Please have the church pray for me and keep me strong in faith while I’m in here.

I am a strong believer in church & God & Jesus Christ. Once again, my heart is happy that you took time out to think of me. Merry Christmas, and happy New Year. Peace on earth.

Angela York

Please remember to keep the Prison Ministry in your prayers and keep those donations coming.
